I will be undergoing my 1st experience with FFS on Monday. I know that this procedure is relatively minor in comparison to the other more invasive FFS ops. Would appreciate feedback from anyone that has undergone this procedure regarding post op recovery ie. pain, healing, swelling, vision issues etc. thanks in advance!

Hi,
I had it as part of a multiple FFS procedure. Very little pain, no vision problems, little swelling. However, the Dr missed some of the stitching and when that started to work it's way out it scraped against my one eye, then, there was pain. Only advice is to get all of the stitches out the first time. You'll be fine.
Hugs

I also had it done, but along with a number of other procedures. I looked at some of the online videos to get an idea of what to expect. It is going to depend on your surgeon. I had some bruising around my eyes as well as swelling but I also had the lower eyes done so it is difficult for me to say what was the exact cause. Good luck and I hope you have great success!!
