Title: HRT for diagnosis help - Brazil
Post by: Lilian on October 09, 2015, 01:17:49 PM
Hello,
Im new here, im 29yo, and i have watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfXQxn98Q6I).

Almost all of my answers were yes to part 1 and part 2. I have these feelings since i remember as a person.

Well, that always scared me, but this is really strugling me, and now i want to search for help.

First, she said on the video, that we can try HRT for 1-2 months to help understanding what i feel. I want to try this, and i don't want any kind of permanent changes. Is there someone here that can help me with that?

Second, i really need to know people from Brazil to talk about this. If there is someone here that can help, cause i don't know anyone here.

Thank you very much.

The idea ist to start out slowly with a low dose to see how it makes you feel.

here are some hints concerning changes:

Welcome to Susan's Place. Blockers will stop T production with no lasting effects and should give you a good deal of relief alone. Hormones for a month or two will produce few changes to your body and the changes that will happen may only be noticed by you. A gender therapist is a very important part of treatment because they will help you define what you feel. Once you understand your thoughts, the decision to transition or not will be easer to make. We all start with doubt but one thing is sure and that is the feelings you have will remain with you until they are treated.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Dena, that's exactly what is happening with me now. I have this thoughts many times in my life, the feeling is always there, the difference is that there are sometimes that i have a lot of distractions and this go without being noticed. But the distraction goes off and BOOM.

That is a decision that i kind always ran away, tried to convince me that's not my case, but i have seen some stuff lately that i cannot ignore it. I do realy need now a gender therapist, to help realize whats going on and make a decidion.

Thank you for support, i am feeling very welcome here.
Title: Herbal Estrogen
Post by: WomanLikeAStar on October 09, 2015, 10:00:22 PM
As already has been mentioned : see a gender therapist and consider to ask them to put you on blockers . Testosterone blockers for a few months will lower your sex appetite and will make you lose some body mass and muscles. As every genetic man makes some estrogen in a few places in the body : by blocking your testosterone you could give your natural estrogen some space.

If you want to start very mild and not to serious about it yet you could start on an average dose of phytoestrogens . These are estrogens that are to be found in some herbs. White Yam and Black Cohosh as well as FenuGreek are some phytoestrogens you could order online .
They are herbal , thus not dangerous , and without a necessary prescription .
If you want to start synthetic estrogen  like in women you will need a prescription from your doctor which could take up to six months before zou get authorized to start hormones .
I would recommend to try herbal estrogen first and see how you react on those .

Nice to know about these phytoestrogens,  will read more about that and T blockers. But before that, i need to find a local specialized therapist, and I am actualy afraid to reveal this to another person, face to face. I need to work on that.

Yeah, I saw this thread before, but and I am not ready to face to face a group of people.
However, you are right, I will try to figure out who is the psychologist of this group and mail him.

Thanks again :)
