Hello girls!
I feel like i owe a lot to this site, as it helped me a lot during the process of finding a surgeon for my srs, so i want to write my own review about my srs that i had 3 and a half months ago. I had my surgery with Dr. Rados Djinovic in Belgrade in the new/truly renovated MSB Medicinski Sistem Beograd. Here is my review.
cost:15.000 euro
hospital: quite a nice clinic, more on the smaller side, but renovated in this year, extremely clean with very helpful
nurses (not all of them spoke perfect English but they were sweethearts and we could always figure it out). I felt very safe in there. The clinic is located exactly opposite to a big super market. so if you have someone with you, they can always go buy something in a minute.
surgery: way less painful that i expected it to be. I hold a catheter in me for 3 weeks, which was the more uncomfortable part. Dr. Djinovic is an extremely skilled surgeon, mainly an urologist and the head of the European urologists board. He works mainly with children who have deformities etc, but also performs the famous sava perovic srs surgeries both mtf and ftm. I was in bed for 5 days without moving a lot, even though theoritically i could after day 3 i think. No dilation took place in the first 3 weeks at least or actually 4 if i remember. Dr. Djinovic is not really a big fun of dilation in the way that the other surgeons are. That does not mean that nothing has to go in there but he thinks that for the first weeks a finger is enough, as it heals. I started using my dilator kit after week 3 i think 3 times a day for half an hour, but honestly i did it 2. Djinovic does not perform a simple penile inversion, he uses the urethra skin inside and in betwen the actual (female) urethra and the vaginal cavity. This bring a veeeery natural feeling and according to him, prevents it from ever being closed by stenosis, since skin can heal but mucosa cant heal ( i mean the mucosa walls inside. The inside of my vagina feels like the inside of my mouth 100%
Lubrication: The one thing i didnt actually believe in the consultation with him was that i was going to have a lot of lubrication. I knew what the deal with srs was, and came in believing that i would always have to use a lubricant for the rest of my life and maybe i would be lucky to get a slight moisture. Oh boy was i wrong. The inside is never dry, there is always moisture but what surprised me is the amount of lubrication that i produce when im really aroused. its insane how much it is, like i would never believe it if you were to tell me before srs ( when i say insane dont think of waterfalls, its just as much as a natural woman i would think (never saw a natal woman naked though) but honestly its wet, like really really wet, i can play with my wetness in my fingers after i stick them in kind of wet)
Orgasm: I honestly tell 3 days after the surgery that i had a lot of sensation down there. Of course at the time i could feel pain and no sexual feeling whatsoever, but i could feel the sensation that was the same as before, This doctor is a magician honestly. I started playing with myself and exploring a little during dilation at abhout 1,5 month after srs and i had my first orgasm ( or so i thought). Turns out it was really pleasurable but it wasnt an orgasm. I had my first orgasm at 2,5 months after srs and thats only because i didnt try earlier. Once i got to learn how to touch my new bits, let me tell you, it was wonderful (insider tip, middle finger inside, the palm of the hand rubbing the clit with moisture)
Stitches: they are fading very nicely and are not noticable.
Sex: I started dating a new guy when i was 2 months post op and i had sex with him at 2,5.He doesnt know about my story, did not realize anything and enjoyed the sex so much he asked us to be exclusive.
Dilation: now i am dilating 2 times a day for half an hour using a lubricant and watching some material to get me in the mood. i love dilation, and definitely dont just stick it in and let it there. I use my dilators as dildos if that makes sense.
appearance: all looks normal, as far as im concerned from what i see in porn and etc, plus guys love it.
Yeah, i dont know, you could ask me more, hope that i helped someone, definitely happy with my surgery and surgeon, and now i think its stupid that people from europe run to thailand to get it done or wait years for schaff in munich...
any questions welcome, take care!

Thank you for sharing with us .
I live so close to him , if only the price was lower .
Being closer it is easier and safer if i need any surgery after , it sounds like he is really to be considered .

Raregirlinternational can I ask you what made you choose dr. Djinovic instead od dr. Djordjevic? I'm very curious, as I'm familiar with the background of both.
And just to throw little non important information out there, penile-urethral flap technique is somewhat outdated technique, which is currently only still being used in some European countries, and was stopped using because of very high necrosis occurrence, and too common need for revisions with sigmoid colon graft. High rate of complications and limited achieved depth are the reasons why its not commonly used.

I got my surgery recent there and unfortunately the depth it's like 2cm so I will do another surgery using colon graft. At least it's free of charge. The surgeon told it's the first time that happen . Overall not the worst a experience but I would prefer getting one surgery and not 2. Because the recovery at the first was really hard but really really hard for 1 month.
Just wanted to mention because I thought with urithral flap there was no way for sth like that to happen but it happened

Hi Clirael
My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!
I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.
Thank you for sharing this. I am really sorry you are facing this outcome after such a tough recovery. It makes complete sense to feel disappointed that you need a second surgery when you hoped one would be enough.
I am glad a plan is in place with a colon graft at no extra cost. I hope that gives you a little breathing room while you focus on healing. You did something very hard already. Give yourself credit for getting through that month.
There are several reasons this can happen for example, limited available tissue, intraoperative safety limits that stop deeper dissection, early scarring or partial flap loss, measurement mismatch between preoperative estimates and what was usable under anaesthesia and severe early pain or barriers to dilation that allowed contraction. So as you have already said you really need to discuss this with your surgeon if you want to know why.
If it helps, you could ask your team what they think led to the shallow depth, what they will do differently with the graft, what the realistic recovery timeline looks like, pain control options, how dilation or aftercare will change, plus what red flags to watch for. Having clear answers can make the road feel less uncertain.
You are not alone. If you want to vent or compare notes we are here to listen to you. Wishing you all the best for the future and your healing and recovery will be gentler next time around.
Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads. I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.
In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.
Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets. Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.
Take care and all the best for the future.
Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!
