I'm 19 and I recently decided that I want to live as a man. I came out to my friends and I've also been telling new acquaintances that I'm a guy and use he/him/his pronouns. Next I want to come out to my employers. I am pretty confident that they will be good about it — I have a friend who is also trans and works for them, and he doesn't seem to have had any problems. It is a student job at my university; it's not a very formal work environment, and they are pretty friendly with the employees. My being trans shouldn't have a huge effect, I just need to come out to them so that they use the right pronouns and everything.
I think I'll just send an email to each person in the office (there are about 5 people and they all know me).I want to say something like:
Hi (Supervisor's Name),
An introductory sentence or two that of sets them up for what I'm about to tell them. Then I tell them that I'm trans, and that this shouldn't really affect anything, but I do want them to use he/him pronouns instead of she/her. (I'm still going by my birth name because it's not very gendered.) Then some kind of conclusion - not sure what would be appropriate.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! thanks

I did an in person meeting with HR and my VP afterward. He then met with the management team who did a department meeting to announce my transition. That I think works better than email.
