High school club sparks controversy: Parents, students and teachers differ over establishment of Gay-Straight Alliance

"There's nine clubs in the school. The other nine clubs have an educational value to our school. Science learns science. Chess learns chess. Spanish learns Spanish, et cetera. What will students learn from a Gay and Straight Alliance Club?" asked Cyndi Waller, a parent of a Piedra Vista High School student.
