Title: Fistula Repair

I'm looking for any information on surgeons who are experienced with fistula repair.
I have a fistula after having colovaginoplasty and have been unable to find a surgeon willing to help here in the UK.
I have spoken with Djordjevic in Serbia who says I must travel to Belgrade for a consultation before he can say whether he could do anything for me.
I've seen this subject discussed on the forum before so it obviously can be done. It's just finding someone to do it.
Does anyone know of any other surgeons who I could contact?

Really? Did James Bellringer decline? I assume so, as he is the first name that I guess would come to mind for that type of surgery. Where was the original surgery done? If it was on the NHS then they have to arrange resolution. Good luck.

Thanks Kira.
It was Thomas, not Bellringer. He referred me to a colo-rectal surgeon but he said if he operated the chance of success was low and would involve complete removal of the vagina. Obviously not an option I would even consider.

0_0 wow
I would contact bellringer as a private patient. Its my understanding that he is better versed in colon vaginoplasty. Also, if you were going to go abroad then you would be paying anyway, so worth checking what bellringer can offer. Actually, if he says that he can offer it privately, then you could pursue the NHS paying for him to do the correction.

Who was your surgeon and why won't they repair it like any other surgery complication?

I would totally agree he is very well suited to solving this sort of issue. Obviously not knowing the details I cant say for sure what he will and wont be able to achieve, but I'd be very surprised if he couldn't do anything...

Thanks for the replies.
I have contacted Bellringer. He didn't sound very positive but said he was prepared to see me to discuss it.
