Title: met with dr sinclair yesterday
Post by: Jerri on November 07, 2015, 08:29:56 AM
Had a wonderful visit with Dr Sinclair yesterday, I felt 100% sure that my decision to have him do my surgery was the right choice for me. Now I just have to maintain until Monday morning. his staff was fantastic, he is very engaged with the transgender community here in LA. my stress level is now 0 and I am off to the beach today to relax and enjoy the day

love ya

You could have a look here:
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,190515.msg1697107.html#msg1697107

And you could mentally keep to a picture of a good outcome...

and do a few exercises a few times a day to work off stress hormones...
or take  walk...
wish you fun on the beach  :)

Hello Jerri, very excited for you.  If you want to chat or meetup let me know.  If you need anything feel free to ask. Email: Anne @ Edwardz.com.   I live and work very close to Whittier.

I kept very busy in the week leading up to SRS with Dr. Sinclair. Worked a field assignment , back to office and then home for bowel prep the day before SRS. Boy, was that fun.  :(

Hopefully recovery will go well for you, mine was a little rough since I returned to work way too soon.
My recovery schedule:
3 weeks back at work...bad idea!
8 weeks to feel 'normal'.
12 weeks to getting in pool. (no more pads or discharge)
4 month for sexual intercourse (received OK at 8 weeks, better to wait)
5 months panties optional and no foul odors.
Almost 6 months all appears well.  Looks great and intercourse keeps getting better.

Jerri, SRS is a difficult recovery and it hurts.  You are in very good hands. Hospital staff and care was excellent.
You are hours away from 'Womanhood 2.0'!

As we say in TV, 'have a good show!'
You should do well.

Thank you,
Anne

Hi  Anne,
today is prep day, but I would love to get together next week for a bit once I get my cath out. We have had a blast  so far this week, I   just love So Cal. It was 41  and raining when I left home, we rented a 2015 Camaro convertable and have spent every minute exploring. I will send a text when I get back to feeling better.

Can't wait to hear how it went!!

I have a doctor friend who works with Dr. Sinclair occasionally, hoping to find out more about his technique compared with Dr. Brassard..

I am leaning towards Sinclair myself.   Please keep us posted.

Could you make insurance work here?

Hugs,
Jill

Well this is one month out and I must say that I am not at all unhappy with the technique or results I have good depth and minimal pain or discomfort there are still a few stitches to dissolve which will relieve the discomfort.
I was not so pleased with the Whittier hospital; I had a bad non related event post op and had to go in for 4 extra hours of surgery and transfusions and spent an extra five days in ICU.
Most of the people were kind one refused to correctly id me as female I finally checked myself out so I could get food and water, with the doctors support of course and have been recovering very well since

I do support the schedule plenty of recovery time
my 4th week I went back to 1/2 days not so bad
my 5th week I am working 14 hour night shifts running a contractor maintenance crew doing a major over haul on a very critical piece of equipment ( tons of exposure and administrative interaction, they dont believe we need rest or sleep it seems lol)
I do hope to take most of next week off to recoupe my self and get back into a regular routing but I also believe that pushed it to fast to get back into work

yes they worked completely with my insurance I use high mark blue shield even though they are not in my system I was able to get in network costing due to not having this service within 100 miles of my home town. saved a few grand of out of pocket cost, of course I spent all of that on clothes I had the best time shopping in LA they have so many options we do not have in my little rural town.
