He has already delivered an Oscar-winning performance.
But Eddie Redmayne is clearly determined to give another one - as he revealed on Saturday when he discussed the research for forthcoming movie The Danish Girl.
Speaking at a screening hosted by The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences in New York, the 33 year old revealed that he met with transgender women to truly understand their experiences.

Although its an interesting story, I often read the comments with more interest than the articles as they show public opinion.

I was surprised by these, especially as its one of the UK's least tolerant publications.

Attitudes to trans* stories online in the UK are strange. It seems to mostly revolve around peoples' perception of any given persons ability to pass in their new gender. For example, if a transwoman is perceived to be successfully passing, the comments are generally supportive, but on the flip side they can be rude and offensive.
