Coping strategies and methods are very personal, very dependent on circumstances, and almost never completely effective. It becomes even harder once you've accepted that you are transgender. 'Massive mental crisis' sounds serious. Are you working with a gender therapist?

Well...for me it's art. Or really anything I suppose where I have to put all my focus into. Meditation helps me as well. Art is definitely a big one for me though. Allows me to put all that energy into something, and transfer that pain into something else. Sometimes I'll write as well. At one point I wrote a play and had it performed, and that really helped being able to share it with people in a way where they have to listen. I've even had people come up to me after and say how what I wrote is exactly what they've gone through, which is kind of nice at times. So I guess for me it's just about having a creative outlet and using that to share it with people.
