Title: (FTM) How high was your voice pre-T?

So I just started my T injection (3 weeks now). I have a high-pitch, unmistakable female voice (I passed most of the time in real life until my voice gives it away).
I haven't noticed any changes in voice in my first 3 weeks. No sore throat. No nothing (I'm starting to get odors & acnes tho). So I'm a bit worried right now.
I'm just wondering how high was your voice pre-T because I have this fear of my voice not changing or not changing significant enough to pass.
Thank you! :D

Mine was pretty low to start with, but it has changed a lot. It didn't start to change for two or three months, and it got lower in fits and starts over a year or so. It has stopped cracking now (I'm about 20 months on T), but other guys report that their voices keep getting deeper for at least another year or so, but the change is slower.
Just about everyone's voice changes -- it's one of the most reliable effects of T. According to my doctor, people's voices usually drop about an octave, so if you have a high-ish voice, it should drop into the male range, but it won't be super-low.
Also, having a male-sounding voice depends on other things than pitch: intonation, how fast you speak, not doing things like raising your voice at the end of sentences, etc. All of this is stuff you can learn, if you practice.

Mine was also fairly low to start with. Not to the point that I was ever gendered male on the phone, but if I was dressed androgynously enough, I could pass in public.
I got a sore throat my first week. It's dropped three times that I've noticed. I'm coming up on a year.
Agree with Tysilio. Vocal patterns are often overlooked and just as important to vocal passing as tone and pitch.

I'm 8 months on T and yea it drops on and off and cracks alot in the beginning and you always feel like you have to clear your throat but it's true what they're saying if you speak slower and less excited it definitely will stay in the lower range more like it's coming from your chest rather than your throat hope this helps good luck.

I think my voice started getting deeper (ever so slightly) about 6 weeks in, and started being read as male about 100% by 3 months in. I'm gonna agree with the other 3 guys on here in saying it's worth paying attention to HOW you are speaking. My voice was in the middle/lower range for a female, but when I figured out how to start "speaking like a guy" I was often read as a teenage boy, including on the phone.
Here's a link to a transguy that conducted a study on other ftms and how their pronunciation and speaking style impacted how their gender was perceived by others:

This link actually has 2 audio clips that show the difference between masculine and feminine speaking style:

I've got a broad range of tone at present so hopefully it'll drop to something that can be made to sound fairly masculine with T.
As others mentioned it's training yourself out of the habits of female mannerisms and speaking that is the rub. I know I picked up a couple from my mother and also because people responded better to them in public which must have trained me unconsciously to do them. I've been aware of them a while now and trying to re-train myself out of them.

I'm not on T but my voice is pretty deep. I get mistaken for a guy when I talk all the time mostly on the phone and I think only in person because of the way I dress. My voice does crack sometimes and depending on my level of excitement it can get pretty high lol. I am very interested to see how my voice will sound when I'm on T especially my laugh because that is extremely deep and particularly evil (for some reason when I laugh it really goes muahaha). I figure my voice or at least my laugh would sound something like how it does on snapchat when I slow down the video but I really hope not that laugh is pure evil man

Mine is very low, when I put effort in dropping my pitch consistently. Otherwise it goes a couple of notes up the tone ladder, but still low. I´m gendered male on the phone.
When I laugh or try to sing though, it becomes very high pitched. I´m looking forward to having a consistent deep voice so I can sing too.
