I switched to The Howard Brown clinic in Chicago and It's great. I got rid of the patches and I'm doing shots. I think I can feel the shots a lot better. It's easy for me to remember when to take my shot now.Alll I do is trace it back to Remembrance Day.

Does anyone else get a buzz from the estrogen shot. I don't know if it's because everything worked out getting everything that I need or I'm buzzing from the shot.

I think I'm experiencing a release of a life time of emotions. I'm sitting in the LGBT center in Boys Town and singing Born This Way.

yes, I'm feeling quite well, I think it helps that I'm back in the Boys Town neighborhood I use to work in this area and it's quite colorful. Being at the clinic now I feel apart of the LGBT community. I'm looking out the window right now watching a bunch of the LGBT youth standing across from the center.

After getting my stuff at the clinic I went to the LGBT Center which is attached to a Whole Foods. I walked in the door to the lounge area and there was a group of the trans youth sitting at a table and one of the girls proceeded to look at me to determine my status. I then proceeded to my computer for the wifi. It was fun watching the neighborhood. I hadn't been around since losing my job and now I was properly dressed. Such a difference when your with people like yourself. I then went shopping at the Whole foods and encountered a handsome fit guy checker with tattooed arms which was cool because he was sweet. Then I proceeded back to the lounge area to eat and this gentlemen around my age was working and he kept smiling at me and I got a little embarrassed. So it turned out to be a Remembrance Day to remember. My avatar is me at the LGBT Center.

I get super nervous/anxious and wig out a bit every single time about a day or two before injection day and the day of because I'm still terrified of needles after all this time.

Sounds great, Stephanie. I love the Howard Brown center. I'd like to get there more often and be part of the community. I debated going down to the Center on Halsted yesterday, but I chose my other Friday group. I would've been better off at the Center. Maybe I'll meet you there sometime.

Quote from: ChiGirl on November 21, 2015, 11:04:12 PMThat would be fun. I'm going to try to get there ore often because I'll be switching my primary care doctor to Howard Brown and I like to gawk at everyone out the window of the center. I live in downtown Evanston so I just take a bus.
