Title: Dysphoria...
Post by: ThaliaNyx on November 23, 2015, 07:16:21 PM
Just some things that have given me major dysphoria in the past week - Can anyone else relate?

  • Being called "Mr. Tall Guy", "Strong Guy", "Macho", et cetera
  • "I'm so glad you came - if it were only girls, I would have asked my boyfriend to stay here." (While passing out supplies to the homeless community.)
  • Applications with a Male/Female bubble answer
  • Showering
  • "Just be glad you'll never have to experience a period."
  • "You look just like your father when he was your age..."

I can relate to showering and this one...
"You look just like your grandfather at your age"

Or another couple of my faves....

"You should have been a girl with such lovely eyes and lashes...and your hair...some women would be envious to have such fine hair as yours its so thick"(at the back)

"one day you will make such a handsome boy" not quite Grandma

Earlier Today

"How can you be trans at 52, how can you have lived a normal life without telling anyone"...I count 4 basic transphobic questions in that statement alone

" being told by a transphobe how "interesting" he finds it(my life) all"
