Title: Emotions piling up
Post by: Pegasus6060 on November 28, 2015, 12:49:59 AM
So, ever since I got on AntiDepressant, my emotions haven't stopped but rather... piled up. I'm happy for a while, but inside I'm dead. One day, at least one every two weeks, my emotions come out in this giant blow. Tears, screaming, violence, everything. People say deal with things as they come. The problem is that I do. The left over problems I face just pile up until I explode.
Do you guys have any tips for me? They would be greatly appreciated.

Are you seeing a therapist?

Often anti-depressants alone don't help, we need to sort through the baggage we are carrying and get help on how to cope with it.

I know I did.

I agree with Cindy, the medication usually never cures the depression but it will hopefully act as a circuit breaker to give you the opportunity of dealing with what lies at the root of the depression through therapy or counselling.

You may also ask about a different med. There is a ton of them out there. Feeling like you are in moving about in a world of molasses is a common complaint.
