I don't but it is a common issue for many. Part of it is because your body is changing and needs the extra fuel. I'm not sure if you are M2F or F2M but either way the body needs to get the energy for breast growth (m2f) or muscle growth (f2m) somehow!

Progesterone will cause you to be hungry and horny. It was such a problem for me that the doctor halved my dose so I didn't turn into a ballon. If the food goes in the right place in your figure, this can be and advantage but it ends up on my stomach so it isn't good.

I hope the OP don't think I'm hijacking the thread.

You said you got belly fat ?????

I was wonder if that could happen with a transwoman.

Well, it could be that as well so don't rule it out if you are feeling a bit more anxious, nervy or emotional. HRT will do that too of course but then some people use eating to calm their nerves.

Absolutely, just as genetic women can.

The gene seems to be present on both sides of the family but it's worst on my fathers side. Even my sister look pregnant if she isn't careful about her weight. Sadly when losing weight it's the last place I lose it. That's the reason 160-170 pounds is the best weight range for me even though the upper weight limit for my height is 190 pounds.

Ironically, that's good news for me. I want some belly fat.

Stuffing food into my face has a major emotional component. No doubt about that.

As far as a particular type of food cravings in general?  Post HRT a love for all things pickled

You are aware that many surgeons will not do GCS if you weigh to much. Excess fat prevents them from getting a proper cosmetic appearance so your ideal figure should wait until after surgery.

If you are above your healthy weight limit the doctor might have an issue and request you lose weigh. 200 pound might be fine for somebody 6'5" but any more than that could be questioned by the doctor. I would be very careful about my weight before surgery because it's hard to lose weight fast in a healthy way.

I'm keep that in mind. Fattening up ehile on hormones could make me look extra "womanly" but I don't want that to slow my progress to surgery.

Dena : Just so you know, Brassard doesn't have a specific weight limit. (Except for the weight limit on the surgical table, I guess, but that's usually like 500 lbs...) I was 5'7" and 230 lbs when I scheduled; he said he'd "prefer" that I lost a bit but it wasn't mandatory. I was around 215 lbs for the actual surgery date, and nobody said a word about it; I had a letter from my doctor that I was fit and an excellent surgical candidate, which no one even looked at. :)  I also did get very good results and a fairly uneventful and quick recovery, likely because weight is not as important to the latter as fitness level.
