You look good girl we are none of us are always happy with the look we see through the lens of a camera . But the thing I always keep in mind is the GIRL I see now is 10.000% better than that horrible sad unhappy person that used to look back at ME . I hope that You can also look at things that way and to see the Real You peeking through

Rita, look at it this way.  Your picture is only here at Susan's.  If someone says "Hey...Rita..."??? put your hands on your hips and accusingly ask them, "And just WHAT were YOU doing on Susan's Place?"

Ok, heres a problem I have.... Every time I want to say thanks for a few replies, my instinct is to say "Thanks guys!"

and I remember a post iKate made about something similar and it stops me... now its nothing derogatory and Ive always said it that way... Aww, thank you guys, or something similar. The way I speak, it sounds weird in my head to say just thanks or thanks everyone... to me its a cute "Awww, thank you guys"  and the strange part is I would never say that to a group of men.... so is that weird or what? I know "we" have a aversion to anything that misgenders us, but for me, I dont mean it that way.... luckily I have not said it yet (or typed it ???)

Guys is fine. Guy (singular) is probably not.

We are extra sensitive due to how people misgender and mistreat us. My main issue in that thread was how my colleague was not talking to me the same way he talks to other women.

He was constantly appending "man" to every sentence. It really got on my nerves.

He has also inadvertently outed me a few times.

There are people in my office who do not know my Trans status and we also have consultants who don't know and I keep it on a need to know basis now, I.e. If you're not Trans yourself and seeking support, or you're not getting into my pants I don't see the need to really bring it up.

I'm also nervous about posting a picture for the outing potential, even though this site is suitably obscure.  I guess my main problem is the part where I actually have to take a picture.  My phone's camera is awful.  Also, I've gotten rather attached to my silly/cute/morbid avatar even though I've been living in fear of LordKAT.

If only we could remember that after a big crash, there will always be more super awesome days... such is life.  It wouldn't be a big crash without the emotional crash.

I found it hard to get to the page myself

near the top pf the page, right under where it says: Hello Emmz

"Home Help Search Profile........"

hover mouse over "profile" and click on "Forum Profile"

the first block is your avatar, but you may need a certain amount of posts before being able to add one????? not sure

but you have 4 choices

no avatar
choose from gallery (offers clip art style pics you can add)
specify avatar from url (you can link to a image on the web)
upload avatar (loads a pic from your computer)

just dont forget to scroll almost to the bottom, right side and click "change profile"

You have to have 15 posts, I believe, before you can add an avatar to your profile.
