I am lucky to have a friend that supports me,her name is Kate and known her since we were kids.Kate is transgendered just like me living and dressing as female for 3 years now.Works at a shop as a mechanical engineer whom has been great to her.Was married and divorced after she came out.A dad of two kids also,a 13 year old son and a 15 year old daughter she raises on her own.It was hard for them for a couple monthes and they have come to terms about it.Her kids still love her as Kate.Lucky to have both of her parents for support. Before I came out 2 years ago,Kate was great giving me advice how to come out.Our friendship is very close and now understand each other.Kate was outraged my mom and her side of the family rejected me.Was glad my dad and his side of the family is supportive.Knows I still have my son and wife in my life which she said is pretty much cool.Kate and I love going shopping together and she has introduced me to more people in the transgendered community knowing I am not alone now.

We both knew that we were really female as kids.Kate knew she was this way the day she was born. Both decided not to transition, live and dress as women fulltime.Kate and I remember going into her mom's closet trying on her heels also trying on her mom's clothes too.

Another proof that the right and amazing friends, transgender or otherwise, really do make all the difference.

Next step for us is we are going to go through the next process of legally change our names next year.I am changing my middle name to Allison and Kate is going to change her middle name to Ann.We don't want to be known as our old selves anymore.Plus change the gender on our birth certificates to female
