i have a few spots on my face that are cystic, but my back and shoulders are covered with smaller 'normal' zits. any recommendations for what might help? my endo wanted me to go on accutane, but after seeing how harsh it is, i refuse....
i ordered a clay mask a few days ago after seeing that a lot of people had success with it.. is it possible that because it's due to a hormonal imbalance, it'll sort itself out over time?
would love to hear any tips/suggestions everyone has!

I didn't have any kind of body acne until after surgery, so I'm right there with you. Not sure what's causing it. My levels always come back on the higher side of average, but never out of the reference range entirely, so I'm not sure if it's hormonal. My face flares up when I shave, but otherwise it's good.
I had a lot of success with hydrogen peroxide as a face wash and exfoliating with epsom salts every other day on my face. But it's tough to reach the majority of my back with all that.
Hoping for good advice!

My acne went down a bit after they found my T dose to be too high. It is bad again (all on face, neck), but that began after my hysto 2 months ago. I question if my T levels are higher now. Regardless, even when T levels were good, I still had a good bit of acne.
I am on doxycycline and a topical creme similar to Retin A. I obsessively wash my face. It isn't working. I think I am going to have to suck it up and go on Accutane. I was on it in my 20's for a couple of years, because nothing else worked then, either.
