Hello everyone,
My name is Soraya. I am a 21 year old female and lately I have been feeling like I want to be a male physically. It used t be off and on but now I have been feeling this way since october. What are some of things any of you noticed when you wanted to transition from female to male? Thank you.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I went the other way years ago and the fact you feel uncomfortable with your body in it's current form is telling enough. Exactly what you feel and what you want to do about it is something you need to work out in therapy but there is a good place to start. Go to youtube and request "the transition channel" You will find a series of videos that are taken right out of therapy and will help you answer your questions. Feel free to post on this thread with any questions you might have and I will respond to them when I can.

Hey, welcome to Susans. I'm also 21 :). I didn't realise I was trans until I was 19; although always felt I didn't fit in as being female. I think when you have the idea that you are trans the feelings of dysphoria become much more prominent; whether that's social dysphoria or body dysphoria. I've always felt uncomfortable with my chest so started binding using two sports bras. After feeling comfortable doing this I then bought a real binder and felt unbelievable bcos my chest was finally as flat as it should be. I also started wearing mens clothes and again felt good about myself because I looked like my true gender. I then cut my hair short. This was all over a period of two years. I then recently couldn't stand being called my birth name any longer so legally had it changed. I've always hated it because it was too fem. I then came out at work and felt so happy with being called male pronouns. And am now on T. I'm still not happy but I'm happier than what I was.
As you can see it's a process. There's no rush to discover yourself or to physically transition and see a gender therapist. Do things you're comfortable with. Buy some mens clothes or any male products and see how you feel using them. You may find out you're more gender queer or agender than completely male and that's ok too.
Hope I helped :)

Welcome, Soraya. I can relate with how you're feeling. I'm a 23-year-old female, and I didn't start majorly questioning my gender until 3 or 4 years ago. I too desire to be male physically, even though sometimes I still express myself femininely (e.g. makeup, dresses).
Because I actually like labels, I identify with the terms transmasculine and genderqueer. But don't feel like you have to label what you're feeling unless you want to. Even within a "category," there are as many experiences as there are people. But, you can definitely find people here at Susan's with whom you have things in common.
Like Elis said, take it at your own pace and experiment with whatever you find comfortable. If you're concerned about the investment, looking into buying clothes from a thrift shop or using items you already have; for example, I started out binding with sports bras and packing with a balled up pair of socks.
Above all, trust yourself and don't be afraid to embrace whoever you find yourself to be. :)
