We've seen many "going to the doctor" posts here, but this visit was special! I wasn't that thrilled about my General Primary Doctor lately, too impersonal, too busy, too hard to get an appointment, etc. So I searched for a new Doctor, and found a Transgender Friendly General practice doctor who is a MtF TG herself. Wow! What a difference in general atmosphere! She was soooo nice, and sooooo understanding. Instead of just a stethescope up the back of my top & an uncomfortable "breathe deep" with my old doctor, this lady gave me the full treatment. She did a full "feel for lumps" beast exam, and ordered the proper lab (blood-work) tests to check for proper healthy hormone levels, and she ordered a bone density test ... Which is important for all of us, especially as we age, and especially for us with often varying hormone levels ... Which they are not for many of us on this site! When she asked if I wanted to transfer my records to her office, it took me about 1 second to say YES. Just wanted to share ... If anyone is uncomfortable going to the doctor because of their breasts, a Transgender doctor is the answer to a comfortable visit! I found this doctor by Googling "Transgender Friendly Doctor" and "Endocrinologists near me".

There's probably only a handful of us that is actually a doctor. The chance is pretty slim. You are lucky.
