So I'm 17 years old & my endo just prescribed me patches ( estradiol ) & spiro daily , I don't know anybody around my age using patches and I don't know if I'll get good results using them I feel like the dosage isn't  high enough I'm thinking about talking to my endo and switching to pills or injections, anybody here around their early 20s that has any kind of experience with patches ?  And got really good results ??

Welcome to Susan's Place. I was on pills but patches may do the job better than pills because running through the digestive track reduces the amount of hormones your body will absorb. Something you need to understand is that more hormones may not result in more development. After 5 years I was only a AA cup bra. Today after over 30 years on hormones I am between an A and B cup. My body wasn't meant to have large breast unless I get implants. I have seen somebody who has been on injections for a year and is still showing a small amount of development.

Give the hormones time to work because the girls about your age have been on hormones for 5 or 6 years. Women start developing long before they show visible growth so by the time they wear a bra, they have had hormone exposure for 2 or 3 years.

There is a small variety of delivery systems available for HRT and so it is best to consult with your doctor as to what will work best for you  :icon_chick:

A couple of other methods prefered by some folks are injections and/or implants

I happen to have rather severe reactions to most adhesives so I opted for sublingual tabs that I absorb under my tongue and have been pleasantly pleased with my results  :icon_chick:

But yes, always keep in mind that everyone is different and results may vary

They might start you out with patches. usually dosage is increased later. if you do not have enough development or restraints you might talk to them.
Alternatives are micronized bioidentical estrogen pills, taken sublingually to reduce clotting factors and strain on the liver.
Spreading the daily dose in a few small doses instead of two big ones might be a good idea to keep levels steady.
Or injections and implants.

Additionally bioidentical progesterone should be a good idea. It can help with breast development and has some anti androgen effects.

You might simply talk to your endo.

I did patches for two years and just switched last month to injections I like injections a lot better ,  but I did get good results from patches. Of course I'm a tiny bit older than 18.

If you've only just started it is probably because your endo wants to see how your body responds to the medication first before proceeding to other methods. You should really ask your endo "why do you have me on patches not pills or injections?" so you have an understanding of their reasons before you make any changes.

Well I was self medicating on injections ( delestrogen ) before I even got my prescription, for about 2 months I already have an A cup I just feel like the patches are going to stop my breast from growing as fast as they did with the injections , and I also feel like this dose won't speed up the fat redistribution process

Yep, that's what I'm on, I just call them tabs instead of pills  ;D
