My mom noticed my nails that they are shinier. This was after I brought up the breakout on my right hand. I have a skin condition that around winter, I get a breakout that is controllable with medicine. Well so ya I showed her it. She than made a comment and I told her it probably is because of all the lotion I have all my hands to help my hands that make it shinier. I dont know if she thought it was nonsense or not. She said that the lotion probably did but also said there are guys that do this to their nails. So ya I can't tell.
My hands also shaved. I knew she saw it so I mentioned that I shaved this hoping I can get air to my hands better and the medicine stuff if I shaved. Me I know was complete nonsense. I than joked that it does make your skin feel better though shaved.
I never felt like afraid like if she thinks anything that she would abandon me or hate me or anything. This was why I never felt scared of my secret. I never fear my mom or my dad now or when he was alive that this was a problem. Never had to 2nd guess or anything. It's always been my mom and dads approach with me is if I want to talk about it, I will but they dont usually bring up things. My dad and my mom have made comments even years and years ago but in a joking way. I have been honestly blessed but if she does suspect, I know she will NEVER abandon me nor my dad would have ever and now me even more so he knows my secret. This was not as scary as Ive seen from others plus Im good at making believable excuses which is a better way of saying lying.

Parents often notice a lot more than they let on. Let's just say they've had more years experience in being snoopy! ;D

So what do I do now?? I can't like play up for example that next time someone refers to me as sir, I act like oh that is fine and all. She would know I wasnt being honest as I HATE being called sir. Should I just do what I do and not talk about it? Im not afraid of it like abandonment or judgment or such things my mom does NOT do, just an awkward conversation is all I like to avoid.

Sorry, I should have said that they notice a lot but that they don't necessarily join the dots very well - and when it comes to someone they know being trans most people (and parents) usually draw the wrong conclusion altogether and decide that the person or child is gay rather than trans. It's usually the last thing on their mind, even if you shave, leave girl things lying around, etc.
