Title: Am I taking sublingual pill (estrogen) properly?

Okay so,this is kind of frustrating ??? I put the pill under my tongue for more than 5 minutes but some of its residues go sideway of my tongue and I can taste the bitter sweetness of the pill..
Which makes me think that it's not going to be fully effective. I keep on struggling to let it sit under my tongue and let it dissolve itself and the whole process takes 15 minutes but then again.. i feel like I am swallowing the residues unconsciously instead of letting it dissolve.
Is there a tip that I can improve? Or am I doing it correctly?

Hey Kris!
Welcome to Susan's :) Great to have you here - looking forward to seeing you around the forum.
I can't help you with your question since I've never had a sublingual. To me it doesn't sound like that tablet is designed for being taken sublingually. You should totally check with your prescribing doctor to ensure you are using the right medication and that you are doing it right.

It takes some time to get used to. Took me a couple months to get it down. I kind of tuck it in next to the center, deep under my tongue, and I have to hold my tongue still. You can almost feel your tongue dry to your teeth. If you move your tongue too much it escapes up the side and mixes with saliva, and you can't get it back under your tongue anymore. It can take anywhere from 20 minutes to sometimes an hour to fully dissolve. You'll get it, just keep trying.
