hi   .i am noeleena.    post op just.   june this year 60 year old .  with jos at almost 34 years to gether.   3 kids 29 to 33   .5 grandkids . it was hard for jos.     it takes time . we are getting there.  for me its neat being female. yet i can not for get .  being male .its me both... m ... & ... f...o dear .. yet i have been & am .  happy ...yet i was not sure how this would work ...at 10 or so .i wanted to be like the girls it did not happen its taken 50 years to work out ...always knowing i was female inside ..i do pass just ..no big deal .i am just acceapted as a female...which is just o ...  so ...neat    .words do not express how i feel in side ..for jos has lost her man .yet i...am still there ..as a female as well .& thats hard for her.    &   i know it ...i live with it each day ...what has happend to  me .is part of jos*s  life as well. we are not all the same . each one its neat & hard so we do have concerns .  for some its not like this at all .....i feel  for them ...i hear them  .they must tell their  story ...this is to let you know a little part of our lifes... jos...my ..partner ..   and me .          .noeleena...

Hi Noeleena, thanks for the intro and welcome to Susans.  It's great that your partner Jos has stayed with you even though it was difficult for her.  She obviously loves you very much.  You are very lucky to have her.  Hope to chat with you in the chat room some time.

I'm always glad to see a member of the over 50 set joining in here at Susan's.  I'm also glad to see when marriages survive.  Mine didn't.  But that was meant to be, or I wouldn't have a wonderful husband now.

Hmmmmmm, I almost feel like I am getting inebriated on your enthusiasm and happiness in having achieved in being your true self. I am 62 and four years post op. So now I just feel like normal, the person that was always within, is also living on the outside. All I have done is altered the outer physical to match the inner self. In reality we are transitioning from female to female.   

I have a soul mate as well and I believe that anyone who gets through all this with a partner, whether it is the one they already had before starting this journey, or a new partner, they are so very fortunate.  They are deserving of one another, especially after having gone through all the tribulations of transitioning and their love remaining just as strong for one another as it was in the beginning.
