Title: Any pokemon players here? Competitive or Casual?

I'm wondering if there's a proper and healthy base of Pokemaniacs here on Susan's. I've played all of the main series generations, but with the difficulty drop in Gen VI I find myself sticking mostly to the battle sims instead of replaying the series. If you do play competitive, what are your tiers of choice? I stick mostly to OU and Balanced Hackmons, but I'm always interested in talking with people who play any of the tiers. And in-game folks, as well.

I've only played Pokemon on GBA - Leaf Green, Emerald and Light Platinum (didn't get to finish Light Platinum after a glitch).

Yes! I just found my 2DS the other day (I moved at the end of July and am still unpacking), and have been playing X for the last few days. I have at least one game from each of the generations. Haven't fiddled with any of the competitive functions at the moment. Maybe once I finish the main game.

My first game was Pokemon Gold. Since then I have been an avid fan of the series. I kind of skipped Gen VI, but I'm currently involved in clearing the backlog of ideas on a site called Pokemon Factory, where the users post their own fanmade Pokemon.

I always play at least casually; but every once in a while I'll play competitive for a bit. My favorite Poke'mon is Blaziken, so I usually battle in ubers, but with mostly OU and UU pok'emon. Anyone else wanna post their favorite Poke-Mon? I'd really like to know.

For my ninth birthday I got a game boy colour and my first Pokemon game Pokemon Yellow. In grade five I got Red and Silver, then Crystal the next year. In high school I played Diamond and Platinum and I found myself finally being able to beat the games. In 2011 I sold my DS and games because that was when I partner and I were struggling and needed money for rent. I haven't had a DS since then but I'm eventually gonna save for the newest DS console so I can get either Sun or Moon, along with the older DS games. For now I've been playing Pokemon Blue on www.playr.org and it's been bringing back so many memories. It's a great distraction when the dysphoria gets really bad. And I've never beaten the old school games before so it's interesting doing it all again as an adult that knows what he's doing.

I love the Pokémon series and like to make videos of glitches in the games as a hobby. I believe I got into the series from about eight years of age or so, and it was at this point I played my brother's Generation I core series cartridges (Red, Blue) and started playing Pokémon Gold and Silver which were new at about the time. My favourite game in the core series is Black 2/White 2, and I also love Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD on the GameCube.
I used to play competitively in random Wi-Fi battles on Pokémon Battle Revolution for Wii, but am not that good at it.

Can be found wandering around in the sticks or down at the lake playing Pokemon GO.
The lake is a real trip, there are literally thousands of people there all night playing with hundreds of pokestops with lures up at all times. I went down there with a backpack full of booze and some friends and had a BLAST. (Cops left us alone too which was a huge plus+++ Something about open alcohol? lol)
