Not that I ever noticed, but I wouldn't be concerned if it happened occasionally; I've discovered that it's *impossible* to completely clean the new parts after peeing, unless I used a bidet/showered.  So many folds! And I like to pee before I dilate because otherwise the dilator pokes me in the bladder and it's uncomfortable. So everything down there might sometimes smell of pee during dilation, for all I know, but the dilators mostly seem to be covered in lube and then I disinfect them. I'm several years post-op, though; immediately afterward, there was all kinds of discharges and smells for a few weeks.

(I'm not sure what "VVF" is, though.)

I alway go to the bathroom before dilation and I wipe with two separate pieces of toilet paper to ensure I don't develop a rash from the moisture remaining trapped down there. My dilator smells a bit like KY jelly (which I use) and the rubber it's made out of. The smell is pretty weak so if there were anything strong, I would detect it.
