Hey everyone. I am curious about hearing what cup size you got from hrt and after how long just so I get a better idea on what my results will be. I know everyone has different results but hearing other people's results will help me. I'm on hormones for exactly 8 months now and would say I'm an a cup. I'm wondering if my breast will get any bigger because they say it takes two years or something. My boobs look big in my picture because I use a cleavage that holds them together. I've been contemplating if I should use my savings for a boobjob or voice surgery ugh. I'm a very skinny girl and petite I don't have chest fat it's only breast tissue but my mom has huge boobs so I'm thinking I'll develop bigger ones? I just don't know if I should put it on hold because if I want big boobs it's very easy to turn them into a c cup appearance lol.

Hi Hon,

The general rule is to wait for about 2 years before a BA as the girls are still growing and the BA can make them look odd if they continue growing after the implant.

Also bio-identical (i.e. micronised progesterone, NOT progestins) progesterone around Tanner Stage IV removes tuberous structures in the breast to allow for further growth. Mileage varies depending on genetics etc.

Boobs can continue growing for years (7-10) and also suddenly after years and years of HRT suddenly grow even more or shrink depending on a host of several factors. I've been on HRT 10 yrs+. If you are impatient, have seen no further growth in the last few months and have tried most everything with HRT (higher doses, a progestogen, etc.), then yes, implants is fine BUT I think it's still a little too soon in your case. Talk with your doctors and decide.

Pregnant women with high levels of estrogen and progesterone develop bigger boobs.
The change remains afterwards.
So it might be an idea to try higher levels.
You might talk this through with your doc. They should see the point.

I'm 38DD after 6-ish years on HRT. Cis girls' breasts grow for 5-10 years, so it's worth keeping in mind that puberty can last a lot longer than seems reasonable. :)

C cups after a year here. Genetics are on my side.

Some of you mentioned progesterone? I'm only on estrogen and spiro. Is progesterone a blocker? I've heard of it so many times but never researched it because I was content with what I was taking. If some of you take progesterone do you take it with spiro as well I'm not sure how it works. I would like implants but lately I've been pretty content knowing they will still grow so I'm not really in a rush anymore. It's very easy for me to make them look a couple cup sizes bigger which I love doing but it feels uncomfortable if you have them like that from morning to night lol.

Progesterone is a sex hormone produced in significant amounts in women, especially during pregnancy that can enhance breast growth and stimulate other structures in the breasts, making them fuller and rounder with larger nipples. It may counter dryness caused by estradiol/spiro, help with brittle nails and give you softer, more elastic skin, softer hair as well. It may increase libido in a good way, help with sleep (or not, depending on the person), promote fat deposition, reduce anxiety, improve mood but not necessarily. It makes some hungrier, bloated but it can also reduce water retention in others. It is usually taken at night as it makes you tired, drowsy, especially at first.

Also a C cup at about a year. I had some gynecomastia before HRT, but i essentially started as an A.

A small A cup :( I'm a year in and hardly feel like I haven't had any growth. I was on a pretty low dose for the first 6 months but maybe I'm still not on my optimal dosage and I should talk to my endo about increasing it again. Its been a very slow but steady growth, I guess thats also one of the problems with having such a high metabolism is that I cant gain weight not even where I want it damn it! :) I just want my boobs and hips to grow!

I have some kind of a "stupid" question regarding cup size from HRT. I'm hearing that you can expect a cup size less than what your sister or mother has but since I have no sister and my mother is quite flat chested, I"m hoping for the genes from my father's side since his sister has quite large breasts.... Is this just wishful thinking or is there a chance for me to get the boobs I hope for?

Yes. :P Estrogen and progesterone are both female sex hormones, and are different things.

I'm a 36B right now and definitely growing. Started barely filling some B-cup bras at about a year and a half in, but usually used inserts to fill it out better. Over the summer I realized I didn't need them anymore. Now I'm a pretty solid B-cup and noticing more changes, like my nipples getting bigger, changing color and texture, and noticing more rounding and sticking out more. They also feel a bit firm from all the breast tissue and I get pains pretty often, so I know they're still developing. I attribute recent growth mostly to the switch from Provera to Prometrium for my progesterone.

Don't know the cup size as haven't bothered to  check , but after 10 weeks on Spiro and an exceedingly low dose of Estradiol , I have boobs that measure 3 1/2 " more than my chest measurement , (or to put it another way), they are starting to be larger than what my hand can hold.
Nipples have just started to get sore with a small hard lump behind them.
Next month my Dr is upping my Estradiol to double the dose, she said it's time to look at the body hair situation so I
assume I can look at my  boobs getting excited by this.
The assumption that you get 1 cup size less than your mother is pure text book, genetics doesn't work that way, you have to look as far back as around 4 generations.
At least that's how insect genetics work ( my field) and rats are similar.
For what it's worth, I was advised that I shouldn't expect too much in the boob area as I am 68 yrs old, REALLY?
Hope this is of some comfort, also I don't have any chest fat either, am only 63kg.

It will depend on a host of factors. Genetics do count but depends on stress levels, age, metabolism, lifestyle, eating habits, HRT, etc. Time will tell.

I started with small ones from puberty, 50 years older and after 2 years HRT they are a average B cup and still growing. I also lost 50 pounds during that time; my doctor told me to plan for a mamo later this year.

Do they ask girls 2 yrs into their puberty to go for a mammography? You are not a 50 yr old ciswoman, your situation is quite different. First, you weren't exposed for nearly as long. Second, your levels don't cycle like a ciswomen and are more constant which might, according to some researchers, be more beneficial in terms of getting cancer. Third, breast cancer risk in transwomen is VERY low, as confirmed by several studies which conclude the risk is the same as that in men never taking HRT. Only 8 cases reported since 1968 despite decades of VERY high dosages of estrogen and progestogens in several hundreds of thousands of transwomen.

Mammography is not without risks.

Yup, all three. My doctor started me off with provera/medroxyprogesterone even before the spiro, but I'd recommend prometrium even though it's typically more expensive. A lot of people have reported negative side-effects from the provera, like depression, or anxiety, or whatever. I personally didn't experience all that, but the prometrium has certainly been better for breast-growth and boosting my sex drive, so there is that.

Currently at a 38C after 2 years on E and losing 90 lbs over that time.  T was never under control until a couple of months ago after getting a Lupron injection.  Now T is down and E can just do its thing now with having to fight T also.  Let's see what happens.

The size of your breasts will greatly depend on you ethnic heritage. Mediterranean or African heritage tend to give us girls larger breasts. If you are of Nordic heritage, then sometimes yes, big breasts and sometimes not so much.

Just what is the big obsession with breasts size anyway? Breast do just 3 things. They feed babies, attract men and get in the way. No wonder we call them boobs!

I took this 1 year HRT pic yesterday.  It's with just my t-shirt.  I cut out my face because it was looking pretty hideous right before I went out to run. LOL

According to my measurements this is B- or A+.  Nobody seems to notice or at least don't say anything.
