Title: My heel days are done
Post by: Wild Flower on January 26, 2016, 08:40:50 PM
They are not quite heels, but 1.5 inch lifters in my shoes. I decide those days are over for the most part. Its too aching for daily use. I feel 2x more feminine without them, especially since I wore them for so long I felt that was my height. Shorter does feel more feminine, and at 5'6 your like an upper-average height female, but not tall. Defitely short for a guy.

My feet for a woman are big though, but if worn in flat and close to the skin, its really not a big deal. Maybe one day moccasin boots with beads. Something to keep eyes focus on the upper part of the shoe, and in fact cover my feet.

Who wears heels and why? They do make a woman seem sexier though.

I quit wearing heels about 20 years ago. My feet feel awesome. Rock it Wild Flower. Whoever you're attracted to should love you for you, not for something that wrecks your body.

I figure that. Heels are overrated. I only did the lifters because I thought it made me more attractive but I feel like a sailing boat skidding over water carefully.

And over time, I cause my own bunion, which isnt a big deal but its like a lump of ache on my foot. Some guys are into feet and might find it attractive.

I wore some 3" heels for the first time in my Frank-n-Furter costume.  I'm a cyclist, a fast walker, and I've been doing parkour-like activities for most of my life.  So my legs and feet are very strong and my balance is impeccable.  I thought they were fun.  I also pissed a few girls off when I admitted that it was my first time wearing heels.   >:-)

That said, I was lucky to find 11W heels.  They fit my feet really well.  I tried on a few pairs that did not fit.  I would not be happy about spending 4 hours standing at a party if they didn't fit.

I've been corrupted by my friends with too much pro-wrestling. I saw this topic and thought you meant "heel" in the wrestling kayfabe sense.

But, to the shoes. I'm avoiding heals. My ankles already turn at a moments notice in flats, I'd hate to add an additional level of danger (and height) to my already clumsy existence.

Flats for me.  Those heels are death on your feet and ankles.

I love my heels,  I only stopped wearing them lately due to weather concerns, snow and pouring rain are no fun in heels.

At first I was very concerned about being so tall, after wearing them a few times I got over that and now I sorta relish being 6 feet tall in heels.

I did find it tough near the holidays when I was at the mall in my heels and going insane because people walk so slow I am easily out pacing them in heels and a bit of extra wiggle. Damit people, learn to walk faster!

I tended to live in five inchers but after my crash of 2013 and the damage done to my back all of my doctors agree that those are better left for the bedroom, at least for now.  The tallest I'll wear is a three inch heel for now in boots.

I did run around the other day in my favorite pair of red five inch pumps and did pretty good in them; I look forward to being able to wear them again on a regular basis.  ps.....  don't tell my doctors  lol

btw, does anyone know how I can post my ticker?   It said something about preferences but I cannot find that link for the life of me.  Thanks

I recently ordered the following ankle boots with ca. 2 inch (3.5 cm) platform. With the platform, they are very comfortable to wear and walk on, and nice in snowy days.

A problem was the weak glue, and I had to attach the boots again with a stronger glue.

I am drawn to heels but prefer tall wedges for a bit more stability - I love the look of a woman confidently wearing a nice pair of heels and I like the way I look wearing them. I know that heels wreck your feet and many women abandon them at a certain point because of that - my ex had to quit wearing heels because she developed a neuroma and i've known other women that have had the same thing happen to them.

The bottom line is that i've been waiting for 50 years to wear them so i'm going to wear them as long as I am able. My feet have been hurting more lately so that time might be short

I wear heels for work only as it's "needed". Im wearing running 95% of my free time and it doesnt seem to make me look less beautiful or sexy to any guys eyes :) (i have this sport look with jeans/shredded tank top/running, so it does fit together)

I prefer sensible shoes and boots... don't really like high heels too much at all.

6in Stilettos for clubs and partying. Especially if you have a date to hold onto. (:

3in pumps for dressy work stuff, like an office gala. Otherwise I just wear flats.

Wedges and ankle boots are in right now, but I prefer my two inch riding boots for a casual day out. Much more comfortable to walk in.

Yay shoes.

These days I much prefer sensible stylish flat shoes for comfort, nearly 30 years walking around in heels, I've a small bunion on my right foot, it gets a little sore after a night wearing heels.

Well that's the whole point, they look attractive and pretty with a purse or bag to match but hard on the feet, these days I wear them for my husband on a night out, he thinks they compliment my legs and butt lol but he doesn't have to wear them, I try not to walk long distances in them, in a restaurant or the cinema I often slip them off and give my poor feet a rest and he never notices, it's all for the sake of fashion, certain not for comfort.

High heels are brutally bad for the feet and health in general, but they have their place. They make the legs look sleek and can balance one's proportions (I'm long waisted, for instance). The answer is to always carry along a bag with spare shoes. Switch between heels and flats according to whether you'll be doing a lot of walking. Look hot at the special occasions and be comfortable the rest of the time.

I like a sensible 11/2" to 2" heel or wedge. More than that for me is a little much.

I do heels or wedges most days to work, generally the 2-4 inch variety and i have way more wedges and block heels than pumps or stiletto types. The former are more stable. I wear boots constantly in cool weather.

In summer it is almost always wedge sandals or regular sandals

My wife has bunions from hell that requires her to buy double wide shoes that really limits her selections of shoes that she can wear.  I bought her a pair from QVC that lasted her quite a while; she bought a pair of New balances around last Thanksgiving and she already wore a hole through the sides of each shoe.

People, especially young women, tend to praise my leg lines more when I wear flat sneakers (athletic shoes) than when I wear high heels. Nevertheless I like wearing high heel sandals, even in winter.

I wear heels about once a week to work. They are usually 6"  ;D I love heels and many cis-women at the job ask me "how the hell can you walk in those so well " and of course "Don't your feet hurt?". Which, honestly, they don't hurt. Not yet anyways lol I also wear them whenever I go out to clubs or bars. I dance to all types of music in them( Salsa, house, hip-hop, EDM, etc...) and they don't really hurt. I may need to take a couple sitting breaks a night, but it's not like I'm dying or can't walk to the car at the end of the night :) And of course to a nice restaurant. No bunyons or corns yet. **Hope I didn't jinx myself*  :o

I can remember in my much younger days when I could actually play basketball (albeit slowly) in five inch heels.  I inherited my love of heels from one of my sisters - she lived in them.

I wish my wife could wear them as she is taller than I, but she can't.  I'm only 5'6, she's 5'8 so it is nice to tower over her when I can wear heels.

I love wearing heels. walking in heels is something you learn and practice. I wear heels almost daily, i wear 4inch heels to work. through my years of practice, i glide effortlessly in my heels. I can even run in heels, ok not far.. but i can run for the elevator.

My feet got use to them, so they not sore after a day in my 4inch heels. If I have walked a lot, then my feet get tired, and then my man gives me a foot rub.  I do wear sometimes 6inch heels, my fav shoes is my knee high boots with a 6inch heel, but they have a 2inch platform on the front, so my foot is about the same angle as in a 4inch pair of heels. The only shoes that when my feet get really sore wearing is my sandals with a 6inch heel. My man loves it when i wear heels, he says there is nothing more sexier than a woman in heels and i love looking sexy for him.

I had a cis-woman friend teach me how to walk in heels and then i got an old pair of pumps with a 3 inch heel that i practiced with, in the beginning my feet were sore.
