"PROVIDENCE — Caitlyn Jenner is the biggest — and best — thing to happen to transgender people in 2016, according to a nationally recognized advocate for LGBT health issues.
Dr. Scout, a transgender father of three children who lives in Rhode Island (and does not use a first name), was the keynote speaker at Saturday's daylong Trans Health Conference, sponsored by Brown University's medical school, the TGI Network of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College, where the conference was held. The forum drew more than 300 health-care and mental health providers and members of the transgender community. (TGI is the only statewide organization providing support, advocacy and education for transgender, gender variant and intersex people.)"
