Bonjour, je suis Delilah. (Translation: Hello, I am Delilah.)
I'll try and keep this as brief as I know how, which is to say that I'll likely babble on more than I intend to. I'm 31 years old and I'm from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Western PA to be a little more specific). You can call me Delilah. Despite my use of that moniker, I am still in the closet about being trans. Admittedly, I haven't had the ability to consult a therapist and am not sure that making a trip to Pittsburgh, or points further out, would be a good idea at the present time. I'm a college student studying computer science at a community college and am looking to transfer to a 4-year university to focus more on computer security. I would say that I've managed to keep the genie in the proverbial bottle since my early teens and I've mostly kept this part of myself hidden for some time for fear that I may find myself going down the proverbial creek without a paddle. Lest I babble on any further, let me simply add that it is very nice to meet you all and I hope to speak to as many of you as time permits.

Delilah
Bonsoir. I hope you have a great time here. It is full of very caring and helpful people.
Sounds like you are dealing with a lot of things. We all have our own stuff to work on(through). I think anyone struggling with these things should talk to a therapist. A gender therapist if possible. However, if that might take a while, a general one is a good step too. Even if you can't make it to a larger city many have found college support organizations are very helpful to questioning students. However, it is up to you to take it at the speed with which you are comfortable.
Anyway. Welcome to Susans.
With warmth,
Joanna

Welcome to Susan's Place. C++ can't be that bad. I had about 40 years with mostly assembler and some fortran thrown in. I have dabbled a little with C but I haven't had enough need for it to get in very deep. I transitioned a long time ago and I am here to help others along their way. Feel free to ask me any question you have and I will do my best to answer them.
