Transgender activist Monica Helms posted this video of the aforementioned HRC protest. Now we're passing it on to you.
Also, it's nice to hear Joe Solmonese finally came to his senses: we should not endorse a split ENDA.

QuoteDonna Rose, the first and only openly transgender member of the Board of Directors of the Human Rights Campaign, has resigned from that post as a result of the recent actions and inactions of the HRC with regard to following through on the repeated promises made recently with regard to ENDA and the transgender community.
Donna Rose's full resignation statement is available to read at http://gayrepublic.org/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1918 (http://gayrepublic.org/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1918) (click on the link, or cut and paste and remove any spaces from the URL).

The above-noted news flash is dated October 4. Perhaps this is why Solmonese has begun to talk out of the third side of his mouth on October 5. I have personally tried to get HRC to come to a meeting of transsexual people in the close-in Virginia suburbs to address the "T" in GLBT. The meeting never happened. I was given the run-around and no meeting.
I lived in Washington and gave lodging and transport to our sisters who went to the Hill to change some minds during Lobby Days.
I have no trust for HRC. They will do what they think is best for them and leave the T out of their agenda. Their past is their prologue.
And that's the news I have for now.

I'm glad to see Monica is on top of this. I have only run into her once in Atlanta.
