hello everyone,
i just started hormones a couple months ago shortly before i found this site.
i have suffered like most people with my condition-living in a gender trap of boy or girl. Society always saw me as a boy (apart from the often mishaps when i was younger), but my mind would not register what other people kept telling me, i was a rebel... i was a girl.
I have finally been given the all clear from a councilor, two doctors, a psychologist and an endocrinologist-and am now on 'the blues' (progynova) and "the 'awful' mints" (aldactone spironolactone).
My mother and her bestfriend; my sister and her boyfriend; speech pathologist and obviously the specialists named above are the only people who know my secret... i'm going to have a sex-change. These people have been very supportive to me and though stressed off their nut, questioning ??? this many times have vowed to stand by me.
This year means study. I completed year 12 last year and now will be attending university. During now and the end of this year i will be studying on campus at uni as well doing speech pathology, then i 'will' move away from the small town i live in-dump my identity and transition to a woman.. sorry start living as a woman.. i'm already a woman inside!!
My goal is to trasition safely and with as much ease as possible (heh... heh... heh...)
I also want to meet up with many other women who will/have trasitioned to share advise, tips and join some sort of support network.
Remember girls we are all beautiful... every... single... one of us is... and the only way to stay beautiful is to stick by one and another and express our love and feelings for one and another and never forget to smile and be happy. :angel:

I like your name. It has a Mexican or Latino flair. I think it sounds femine too how did you come about choosing and settling on it.
You have found a great place for support. There are a lot of super individuals here.
I'm glad to read that you are young ant this time in your life and will be spared so many years of longing for being what you are inside already. Good luck on your journey and share as it unfold for others to learn from too please.
I'm Leah's significant other. Leah is Male to female TS and will have surgery in the next year or so. She too is on hormones.

Welcome to Susan's. I think you'll like it here.
Your university may have an LGBT club or support group that you can investigate joining when you get there. Mine did although I did not take advantage of it, being wrapped up in denial of who I really was.

You have a great name. starting Hormones is one of those great and tough moments. I wish I could offer wise and useful words, but I'm not as eloquent as some of the other amazing people here.

First off I'd like to aggree with what HelenW said, go and see if your university has a LGBT club and become a member. It will help you out, and it will allow you a good chance to meet others. I'm really happy that you've got such good support behind you in your journey. :) It's always a long time with the doctors, but now that you're past that stage, it's only going to get better!
