Title: Pre-op physical/blood work?

For any who had top surgery with Dr. Medalie:
I just got my pre-op paperwork and I'm a little confused. None of the top surgery specific stuff says anything about a pre-op physical, but the general surgery information paper (that looks like something everyone gets regardless of the specific surgery) says that patients must get a pre-op physical and blood work a few weeks before surgery.
Does Dr. Medalie require a pre-op physical and blood work?

I'm having surgery with Medalie on Monday and presumed he'd ask me to get them, because a lot of other guys have to for their other surgeons. When I had my phone consult with the nurse who took my medical history last week, she mentioned nothing about it, and neither did Dr. Medalie when I had my consult with him yesterday. Valerie also mentioned nothing of it when I called to pay off the remaining balance–long story short, I don't think we need anything like that, and given the hoops we have to jump through to get this far (with the letter and everything) I think Medalie presumes that if we're healthy enough for the letter we're healthy enough for surgery. I mean, plenty of people get plastic surgery, but most of them don't have to get documentation for it like we do, so it makes sense that they get their own special hoops (not to mention that many of us are on T and so getting regular bloodwork anyway, so we'd know if something were up).

I went to Medalie and he does not require bloodwork. I am very healthy though so if you have a lot of medical issues it might be different. I did get a pathology during surgery to be safe. I was not on T.
