My name is Legion.
I've always fancied introducing myself as that.
It isn't really, it's Kate. I'm a 30 something Woman of uncertain heritage and I live in a small town on the West Coast of Scotland. Well a medium sized town. We have our own LGBT group, well we theoretically have an LGBT group here, I haven't actually been able to track them down yet. When I called and asked for info about it I explained my TS status to the Woman on the other end of the line, she said, slightly surprised sounding, "OOOH a transsexual - there's another one of them that lives here as well." So I am now on a mission to meet the other transsexual that lives in my home town. I suspect there may be more than two of us, but two is a start. I am a frustrated writer/film-maker and when I'm not doing that (which is most days) my paying work is in the alcohol recovery field. I am also endevouring to set up my own website, which may be something you hear me whinge about in my posts. I went through the process of transition and surgery a few years ago and have never regreted it or looked back. One of my big issues in life is the politics of transgender-ness. When I was transitioning Janice Raymond was widely read and used as a way of trans-exclusion by the less friendly side of queer theory. I look forward to getting to know you.

Hi Jillieann,
I thought the "My name is Legion" quote was actually a book...Here's how hopeless a case I am - I think they made it into a movie with Charlton Heston called the Omega Man. Just thought it was silly way to say hi.

Hi Kate,
Welcome to Susan's. It is always great when a post op joins in. There is so much to benefit from the experiences of those who have completed transition. I hope you will post often. So fix yourself a cup of tea or other relaxing beverage, sit down, take your shoes off and set a spell.
Good Journey,
Cassie

Hi Kate,
I agree with Elleane your intro has my interest. So welcome to Susan's it sounds like you might have some interesting experiences if your willing to share. I also suspect there might be a wicked sense of humour there also. Look forward to your posts.
