Hi friends,
I used to be a very active member of this forum back when I began transitioning 5 or so years ago. I've reregistered to ask for your insight on something.
I've just learned that my insurance covers SRS (UHC for anyone who's curious). It's my parents insurance of which I'm a dependent, on track to lose the coverage once I turn 26 in 16 months. Correct me if I'm wrong, but my impression is that Bowers is the only surgeon who is in-network and that she has a terribly heavy backlog of sometimes 24 months. I'm terrified that I won't be able to take advantage of this benefit before it's taken away from me.
Do you think Bowers and her team would be willing to work with me if I explained to them my situation? If not, do you know of any other reputable surgeons who are in-network? Out of network it's feasible for me at all.
THANK YOU ALL SO SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
Much love,
Charlotte

Why don't you call Dr Bower's office and ask them? That would be the only answer that matters.

There are quite a few surgeons who are accepted.
You might ask a few.
Even Brassard might be an option, he is accredited in Michigan.
With the Can $ where it is it might be an advantage for your insurance.
hugs
