ok, so i am about to start HRT spiro and estradiol.
i'm doing it no matter what.
the time has come.
i am pretty overweight, actually obese.
:icon_arrow: inb4 "lose weight first, organs, blood pressure, potassium, etc..." already had that talk
my question is:
what to expect in terms of man-boobs to breast-shaped breast?
is the pre-HRT fat going to reshape? does the pre-HRT stretching of skin help/hurt the process? is it a bonus to start with 'moobs'?
specifically want answers from another overweight person who has bee through it and can speak from experience (and maybe had b4/after pics)
how did yours go? what did you like or dislike? compared to bony-bodies, was there any benefit from starting out chubby?
No Dosages Please

I started out with my BMI at about 29, about 205 lbs. Now I am BMI about 23, 167 lbs.
In my opinion there is no advantage to starting out heavier if you plan on losing the weight. When you lose weight everything shrinks no matter what hormones you have.
That said, it will shrink into more correct proportions on HRT. Likewise, if you gain again like I did at Christmas the new weight seems to go back on in the right places first.
In my experience fat does not simply redistribute. It simply adds and subtracts in a new pattern. What you have now in the wrong places will pretty much stay there until you take some action to lose it.

Deborah, did you start out with moobs? if so, did HRT reshape them?

Yes, I had some plus some lingering effects from doing HRT years ago on my own. HRT has helped there. While everything has shrunk the over and under bust measurements have shrunk more.

Here is a side pic from about 5 weeks ago at about 5 lbs heavier than now.

Here is a before and after pic of my abdomen. The top left is Jan 15 and the other ones are from last week. This is still very much a work in progress and I'm not really sure what it's going to look like when it's done. I'm honestly kind of worried about it because even with the weight loss it still looks thick.
