Title: Hi from Sydney

Hi!
I'm Jayne from Sydney. (Jayne was just an anonymous temporary name when I first joined, but I'm kind of liking it. I may change it in the future.) I just rejoined this website after taking a necessary time out to give myself a chance to figure things out. For those of you that have read my previous posts (under the same username "jayne01"), you would have seen that I was having a great struggle getting past my shame and guilt and confusion and accepting that I am transgender.
I am much more accepting of myself now and understand that I am the way I am because that is how my brain is wired and was determined before I was even born. It is not something I could change and it is not some kind of disease or illness. It just is. I'm ok with that now. I still have quite a way to go but I think I have also come a long way from where I was only a couple of months ago.
I just wanted to say Hi to the other Aussies on here.
Jayne

Hi from Brisbane. :)
Self-acceptance is often difficult to achieve and it can be quite a journey to get to that point. A good gender therapist is an must.

Hi Violets. I do have a good gender therapist. She has been wonderful and very patient with me. I feel very lucky to have her helping me.

Hi Jayne, welcome back to the forum (from another Sydneysider). Good to hear that you are getting to be able to accept yourself, that is definitely a massive step to get over.

Hi Jayne welcome back.
There must be something in the water in Sydney as there seems to be more of us every day :)
When or if you feel like getting out and meeting some people keep an eye on the forum here as I'll post updates on the Sydney meetup group and we are talking about getting a semi-regular casual dinner going as well.

Hello Jayne! Welcome, and ther is no need to be ashamed. I totally understand the feeling though, but once you take a step back, to get a bit better perspective on our situations, trying to live a life simply how we feel really isnt anything to be ashamed of!
People that think it is need to be ashamed of themselves
