I don't think anyone here can answer that. You really need to be asking a Dr who knows you. They would be the only one with the expertise and knowledge of your situation.

Knowing only what I do about the condition, I would think that unless you kept yourself properly medicated and ensured the right psychiatric care then it would be a very difficult transition but that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't transition. You should absolutely talk these matters through with your psych.

It probably also depends on where you live and if you're transitioning privately or through insurance or a health system. :/ Start the process (talk to your GP/psychologist or primary care) and see what happens?

You are asking a very open ended question. The transition isn't the same for everybody. Some people are comfortable with HRT, changing roles without benefit of surgery. Others may desire more to be done as part of the transition process. The question for you is do you think you can overcome your fears. For all of us that is the biggest obstacle. We need to stop fearing people making rude remarks or spotting us. We need to get out the door and see that there is nothing to fear. The prize is the new life and the surgery is nothing more than a graduation ceremony. You need to prove to the doctors that you were born to be a woman and there is only one way to do that.

I've tried talking to my psychiatrist about this and he seems supportive. What is next for me? As you may know, I did a lot of things to transition already.

The next step would be to tell your psychiatrist that you are moving forward. If he indeed is supportive, you will find out.

He knows I am moving forward. I told him I have FFS in a year.
