I'm up on adderall right now tying to force myself to sleep but I started to think about scary movies and then I thought about if someone heard a ghost in their room and like started acting like they were already possessed to I guess scare the ghost off would it work.
And now I just wonder who else has weird insomnia thoughts or any insomnia thoughts you think is worth sharing

There are a few remdies that in fact work.
You could try warm milk with honey (unless alergic to milk ...) . There are substances inside which help induce sleep.
And you could avoid eating heavy a few hours before going to sleep, and watching disturbing pictures an hour before going to sleep.
Additionally if you do not sleep well you might move electrical appliances away from the bed, and maybe even change the location of the bed.
Having a light snack before sleeping might also help. For example a cereal snack. It keeps blood sugar levels steady and thus might help sleep through the night.
*hugs*

Oh I couldn't sleep because of the medication but I'll definitely keep those tips in mind for my friends. They definitely could use some tips on how to fall asleep! Thanks Laura!

Search the internet for "healthy sleep formula GRC" the author is one smart guy and has done a ton of medical research on sleep. People who have used his formula swear by it.

I posted this more to see what people think about when they can't sleep. I appreciate all the information on how to deal with insomnia but that's not what the post is for

Oh, for most of the past 45 years I would think about being forced to transition to take the issue of doubt out of the equation. The longer I couldn't sleep the more detailed my imagination became. Now that I've started to transition by my own doing, I fall asleep trying to think positive thoughts, typically post everything and walking through a park without being self conscious.
