It's early in the morning so I'll save everyone the story of how "ever since I was a little kid...", but I do have the typical M.O. of a transgendered person.
My name's Izaia, Izzy if you like. I'm an 18 year old pre-op FTM currently waiting for my center to call me to schedule the appointment to get my T prescription. I'm engaged to a wonderful guy named Dorian who also happens to be FTM. I'm out in every aspect except my family, only one trusted aunt knows. I live in Jersey, but travel to Philadelphia frequently. If anyone else is in/near Philly there is a great Transman group in Center City every Tuesday that I go to.
Hope to stick around and meet some new people. :)

Thanks for the welcomes. ;D It is exciting! I'm not finding it scary at all with my fiance at my side, he's probably the only thing keeping me together lately. Everyone points out that I'm young, even my counselor did until she met me in person, then she had no problem writing my script.
Anyone find it hard to concentrate on coursework with the thought of your impending transition at the forefront of your mind? Its killing me. I'm thinking about taking a semester off as I'm an emotional mess right now(plus, I need to complete a rigorous month-long training academy at my job in order to get promoted).

Hello, Izzy,
Welcome to Susan's!
I am sooo happy for you and your intended. Love is wonderful regardless of who you are but it's my opinion that for those of us who are transsexual it's different from the love that the rest of the world might experience.
Me, I am M to F, five years being my true self, five years on HRT. My Soulmate and Lifepartner is also M to F, post-op, and we share a wonderful, tolerant, giving love. I wish only the best for you and yours.
I'm not an educational advisor or a vocational counselor, but you might want to reconsider taking an entire semester off to concentrate on a month's intensive training. Perhaps you can balance both. If you think that I can help, you can PM me.
Yes, it's almost impossible to keep your mind on the mundane stuff like work and university when you're in-love and beginning the most wondrous journey of your life.
Be well and prosper!
Wing Walker
