You need to have some eye makeup remover, it's not going to come off cleanly in water.
I would suggest that YouTube is your best source for make up advice and demonstrations... just google the particular makeup tip and look in the video section.
For example...
Mascara removal (https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=mascara+removal&tbm=vid)
Mascara Application (https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#tbm=vid&q=mascara+application)

Soap and water do not work well. Any kind of moisturizer seems to dissolve it pretty quickly so it can be wiped off.

You can get the packets of make-up removal wipes, but you may need to make sure it's one that says it'll remove waterproof mascara if that's what you'll be using.
In regards to putting mascara on, possibly Youtube would help here. But I do have some tips on it; you'll be holding the brush horizontally (or mostly horizontally, at least) and brushing it onto your lashes in a motion from the ends attached to your eyelids outwards. (Hard to describe, and not actually as easy as it sounds, so this is where Youtube may help). It's good to keep your make-up removal wipes on hand in case of mistakes (I used to get mascara all around my eyes and even on my nose at first!).
One other tip I have is that you can get a better, fuller-looking lash (usually) by blinking your lashes onto the brush after applying the first coat. So, you don't want to have the brush too close to your eye when you do this (I've literally blinked the brush into my eye before and mascara is painful if it actually gets into your eyes), but just close enough that when you blink, your lashes brush against the mascara brush. It's best to start off with the brush a little further from your eye than you think it needs to be, and if when you blink your lashes don't touch it, then move it a little closer. I don't know if I explained that very well, but that's how I do it.

Thank you everyone. I have a question for hunchdebunch. You say you want to be called Kolby and you have a male avatar, but you still wear mascara. Are you what is known was non-binary? Not to be rude, but I've been trying to understand what that word means.

I am non-binary, yeah :) I'm surprised you read my avatar as male (not in a negative way, just surprised) because it's basically a self portrait and I'm almost always read as female! I actually don't wear mascara so much recently, but I used to wear it a lot :)

Ah it's meant to be blue, I think I put a purple filter over the image though. Yeah my hair was blue, but it's actually faded out loads now and has faded to grey haha :) I'm going to get it dyed again soon though, and then it'll probably be blue again, or maybe a different colour, I'm not sure.

It's grey, but your picture is of someone too young for grey hairs!

Try using baby oil. I use it all the time in place of makeup remover and it works wonders. its like wiping up a spill with bounty. just works great ;D

I suggest that you get your eye lashes tinted - Blue Black is the best colour. I have mine tinted every 6 weeks. That way you don't need to put on too much mascara to give the great definition. Having nice dark lashes is great whether you are in boy or girl mode. Personally I also like to have my eyebrows shaped and tinted too, but I generally gor for a lighter shade of brown for my eyebrows so they don't stand out too much. All depends whether you are in Stealth or not. I spend most of my time as a woman unless I have to meet particular clients so I find its fine to have nicely shaped and tinted eyebrows. When you do put Mascara, I recommend Dior Show as a brand. It has great volume. Put it once after you do your eyeliner, then just before you go out , put another amount on. I always top up my mascara during the day. Actually not to be recommended, but some days if I am in a hurry, I might do my mascara at set of stop lights using the pull down vanity mirror. Its a feminine thing to do as in the morning you will see a lot of women doing it, also applying their lipstick!
To take off Mascara use some gentle eye makeup removal pads!

Yes hahaha I am 23! My hair is only grey because the blue dye has faded; naturally I'm blonde.

My eyes do NOT like getting poked and prodded. The only way I can put on mascara is by moving the brush close to my eye, and then natural reflex takes over, my eyelids panic and flutter... voilĂ ! Mascara applied. The result isn't super great, but it gets the job done. But I'm slowly getting used to it. One of these days, I'll be able to stab myself in the eye like a normal person. Oh wait.

Hi Blossom;
All womens beauty salons do Eyelash tints. They will do a test first to make sure you don't get a faction. You can then come back a day later if there are no problems and have them done. Best is to ask for Blue-Black (It gives better definition). The tint will last between 4-6 weeks). It takes about 15 minutes. Afterwards it will look great, then with mascara it will look fantastic. My advice if you are in transition mode is to get your beautician to nicely shape your eyebrows into a feminine curve and tint them too. If you are fully transitions, I would have semi permeant eyelash extensions done. That is they add individual extensions to your own eyelashes.
Looks gorgeous.

I learned a trick last month and it works wonders (you need mascara, cotton, and a spare spoolie wand):
First, coat your lashes in mascara. Then, grab your clean spoolie and stroke the inside of a cotton ball gently with the spoolie bristles until the brush is covered. Make sure the cotton is loosely on the spoolie so the cotton bits can transfer to your lashes in the next step. Next, lightly comb your lashes with the cotton spoolie like you're applying mascara and then lock in that layer of cotton with another coat of mascara. Repeat as necessary. Works like a champ :)

When I wear mascara I know theres a chance it'll be for a few days, even with eye make up removal it will still stay on.
Just make sure you clean the area each day and night.
As for putting it on, it depends on what you're going for, I wear some day to day, with a light eyeliner.
I'm not someone who wears a lot of make up day to day.
For this I do 2 coats on my top lashes, one quick one on the bottom.
If I'm heading out at night I do like a smokey eye look.
For this, when putting the mascara on, in between coats I put some baby powder on my lashes to thicken them up, I use a darker liner and curl.
For curling, warm up the curler before using it.
