Hello !
Im eighteen years old eastern european guy, began hormones four mounts ago after being encouraged by great people ^^
i will try to be quick !
i started with antiandrogens called cyproterone and finasteride at really low doses later increased them
during that time things were really cool and they still are but i noticed something bad happening... constipation...
i changed my diet to a pretty strict sugar free salt free fiber rich one and doing more water and movement... it helps... sometimes... but now things are getting kind of worst and since my country disallows hrt for "cosmetic" uses my doctor cant help me enought
i want to perform actions and i want your advice somehow... because im lost right now and i dont know at which direction to turn at
Ideas:
Im not taking estrogens... can this do something with the constipation ?
Switching to spiro or bicalutamide for good ?
Plans so far:
Thyroid levels tested (done - normal levels)
Stopping finasteride (done)
*No Dosages Please*

You might edit out exact dosage ... blood levels are allowed ... just not exact dosage of meds because of possible misuse, people react differently ...
Well quite a few endos go the opposite way ....
assuming you do not want to do only blocking like with teens who want to delay puberty ...
many endos start out with estrogen and after a few weeks look at levels, and if anti androgens are needed at all.
Quite a few people do not need anti androgens, or only a very low dose.

If you would consider injections in slovakia and in czech there is a product called neofollin.
Its only available on recipe, you might ask for a private recipe. Cost is maybe 5 Eur /month.
Especially with injections its possible and considered safe to keep levels well in the female range.
Many endos strive for levels of 200 pg/ml or above, and for 60 ng/dl or below for testo.
Your doctor should be able to measure levels, help and watch overall health.
If you are able to go private there are places in the UK where you can get treatment by an endo.
*hugs*

Not advisable to take only anti-androgens without estrogen as this causes symptoms associated with lack of hormones, like perhaps constipation, and hot flashes, mood deterioration, bone loss, memory problems, feeling tired, etc.
Cyproterone acetate has been associated with depression in some, liver problems at high dosages, prolactinomas in quite a few cases in transsexual women, meningiomas in transsexual women. I personally do not like it and would never take it but this is between you and your doctor. I prefer bicalutamide, spironolactone or LhRh agonists.

laura and kayxo, thank you sooo much for advising me <#
so since my body doesnt tolerate that regimen i will try slowly starting some estrogen
patches or injectables
and later switch to a safer blockers if possible
really hope those symptoms withdraw from my body sooner
