Title: What is HRT like?
Post by: supergirl23 on April 08, 2016, 01:09:53 AM
Hey!
I recently tried to pass out in public for the first time but failed spectacularly. I just looked like a guy with girls clothes and makeup on. But from what I have seen on HRT, it gets easier to become passable without makeup? When I start my HRT how long will it take to become passable?

HRT does help to some extent, softening your skin and of course curves, but the most important part of passing is confidence. Removal of beard, getting eyebrows under control, dressing appropriate to your age, using female mannerisms and 'acting' like a normal woman.

I say to many girls to sit in a large shopping area and watch how women interact, dress, deal with situations and live their lives. Falling into 'normal' behaviour for your age group and gender helps heaps.

Of course make up can and does help was does hair. There are lots of You-tube presentations on how to do make up and the secret is - practise!

If you walk around like a 'man in a dress' people will see a man in a dress. When you own who you are - a normal woman. You will be seen as and accepted as such.

Passing is self confidence and attention to detail. Many of the very attractive CIS woman have male features but the remainder of the package is enough to present a feminine image. HRT may have minimal effect but on an already feminine face, it can be dramatic. Hair, makeup and beard removal are all important but the art of makeup is making it look like you aren't wearing it. Often women may be able to skip the foundation but just use eye makeup to bring out their best features.

Work with your image and if you need help, there are plenty of people here who can give you advice.
