Title: My mom
Post by: Stevie on April 12, 2016, 10:27:52 AM

My mother is 90 years old and I talk to her a couple of times a week on the phone. Recently when I talked to her she asked me if I wanted to look through her jewelry next time I come to see her and to take what pieces I would like. I never expected her to ask me something like that on the one hand it means she is accepting me as I am, but its also a bittersweet feeling as it reminds me that she may not be around much longer.

Pondering that every year that passes is one less that my mom will live, makes everything else seem trivial. It takes a lot to make me cry, but I can't think about this for very long.

I am happy for you that your Mom accepts you.
