Title: why are some Spiro pills white and others brown?
Post by: VioletKnight on April 15, 2016, 10:20:48 AM
Title is self explanatory. The Spiro pills I used for the last 2 months were white, but the newest prescription is brownish. Anyone know why exactly that is?

The brand may be different. Different manufacturer, generics OR the dose may be different.

Mine started off with the white ones and the pharmacy switched manufacturers and had the orange ones for about 4 months and thankfully switched back. Even though you swallow them whole, the white one tasted a lot better with a slight minty flavor.

I've had orange and white. The white ones come in different shapes too. I've noticed that the football shaped white ones make me pee more frequently than the others. Anyone else notice?

If it's making you pee it is doing it' primary job.  I've been on this stuff for 25 years

The ones I got from Publix were round and beige. The ones from Express Scripts (Mail Order) were Oval and white if I remember correctly. My estradiol was also a different shape and slightly different shade of blue when using Mail Order vs. Retail. I'm pretty sure it comes down to what manufacturer they are sourcing from. They were the same dose (I think I'm allowed to say that), so it wasn't an issue of them being different dosages.

Mine are beige like many others in this post. xD

I think it's just a brand thing.
