Hello everyone :)
I'm new here, obviously ha. My name is Emma, I'm 26, Minnesotan, been transitioning (f) for 1.5 years now. I recently signed up here to research into FFS doctors in the US. Last week I ended up booking my surgery with Toby Mayer in Beverly Hills, and I'll be out there with my girlfriend May 22-31. I asked around on ->-bleeped-<- for some help with this, but not much luck, so I thought I'd try here.
Just wondering if anyone in the LA region would offer some advice on where to stay and where not to stay? We're having a tough time coming up with the money to afford these nicer/safer hotels, so I'm open to any recommendations people may have. I've looked in Culver City, Inglewood, West Hollywood etc and basically everything in our price range has the likelihood of bedbugs, cockroaches, theft, shootings, and overall not a very good experience to say the least. I mean, I'll be knocked off my ass with painkillers, but I'm seriously concerned about our safety if we end up going with one of those. Especially since my gf is gonna be running errands to get food and whatnot. For reference, we've looked at Hotel Del Flores, Beverly Inn, Econolodge, and Super 8. Not good reviews...
I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone would like to meet us and be able to offer housing for money? We'd have food, travel, and all that stuff covered, but if we could get some assistance from someone who understands our situation, I'd be eternally grateful. We could afford to spend no more than $80-90 a night, so for 9 nights that's $720-$810. Also, on a side note, I'd love to meet new friends! We're both outgoing and friendly people.

Welcome to Susan's Place. In the links you will see that profiles can not be posted until you reach 15 posts. As for the place to stay, you might consider a bed and breakfast or ask the Doctors receptionist about places to stay in the neighborhood. I lived there for many years but I was in Anaheim about 40 miles away from there so I wasn't that familiar with that area.

Hey, Luxa,
I know nothing about LA-- sorry. Hope it all works out well for you. I'm happy to hear that you have a supportive girlfriend.
All the best!
