Title: facial hair?
Post by: CrazyCatMan on May 07, 2016, 09:55:28 AM
Does anyone here apply facial hair with makeup? I have some facial hair but it is super patchy. I have been using crepe hair and mass produced facial hair pieces but have found them uncomfortable to talk in. Anyone else use these, are they really this uncomfortable or am I doing something wrong? I was also thinking of getting a custom beard made by a wig maker. Has anyone tried this? It cost a pretty penny so I wanted to know if it would actually be better than using crepe hair before spending the money.

What is your skin quality like? I only ask because any kind of makeup that you'd be wearing for a long period of time has the potential to clog your pores, which could lead to breakouts. So if you're already prone to any kind of acne, or you're on T, I wouldn't recommend it. Never done it myself. I shaved parts of my facial hair while I was patchy.

Like FTMax, I shaved most of the patchy areas and just left a small bit to grow. I'm prone to bad breakouts on my whole body so I avoid a lot of stuff.

One of my partners degrees is in theater and I've seen a lot of makeup techniques.  I don't know any that would look realistic close up, unfortunately. I checked with him, as he knows far more about makeup styles than i do, but he said that he only knows stage makeup.

I'm not taking T but I have naturally high T levels and am extremely hairy. I do have a skin condition, my skin doesn't shed like it should leading to cyst, ingrown hairs and acne all over my body. my doctor told me not to shave and to exfoliate whenever possible. I use special makeup so I don't have too bad of a time with my pores but the fake facial hair is poky an itchy, it pull on my skin and falls off when I open my mouth.

I hate my patchy facial hair. It grows in weird places, like the corner of my jaw. I do shave it off, even though I'm not supposed to, and take all the precaution I can but I still get breakout were I shave. I was taught some makeup techniques from some drag kings, they look good but are uncomfortable but I guess beauty is pain.
