Title: Sounding people out.
Post by: Megan. on May 09, 2016, 12:18:50 PM
I do take it seriously, but am I only one who gets a little fun about trying to sound people out on their feelings about Trans stuff before coming out to them?
I'm not out at work yet, I was having a chat with a colleague, talking about films, he mentioned The Matrix, so I mentioned that the Wakowski brothers are now sisters, to see his reaction.
Does anyone else have some good examples of broaching the subject in an innocent fashion?

Find a copy of Switched on Bach or one of the other brilliant Wendy Carlos works on Ebay, either vinyl or CD for reasonable price.

One of my favourite albums of all time.  I was blown away by it in 1969 when I first heard it as a teenager, back before Wendy Carlos was Wendy, wore out the grooves on my father's copy, bought my own copy when they re-released it (still on vinyl) and wore it out, now have it on CD, and I swear I'm going to wear it out too!

I doubt there is any "Good" way to broach the subject. I've wrestled with this many times in hypotheticals on how I would Come Out.  At the end of the day it is always just one way, as me.

You want to be you. You need to be you. Come out as you.

If you need to ask how, it is not you. If you need help in how to... a mamber of my support group made a classic video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WoPQ4q0BsM  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WoPQ4q0BsM)
