Title: Where can I get Estrogen Blockers in Texas?
Post by: PeterSteele on May 13, 2016, 07:28:30 PM
Like where are some places like gender therapists in Texas that will help all ages and you know do all that stuff with you to make sure your in good mental state for Testosterone,Estrogen Blockers,Surgeries, ect.
I plan on moving to a place near Austin in 2 weeks if that helps. Also if you can. I plan on later in the future to move to Brooklyn,New York. So are there any good Gender Therapists that you know help you with this stuff there?

Also one more question.
Which is a better place with/for Transgenders (Based on your opinion) New York (Any of the Boroughs) or Texas?

Thanks  ;D

If you have insurance coverage, the first place to start is with the insurance company to find out what they cover. If they can connect you with a gender therapist, the therapist should be able to refer you to somebody who can help. Often there are special programs for people your age. The can be found through your local LGBT center. You will need to receive some form of therapy because of your age. Informed consent is only possible after age 18 so that leaves the planed parenthood route unavailable to you. You will need to have your mothers permission and involvement and if you can't get it, you are pretty well stuck where you are. If your mother isn't willing to work with you, that needs to be the first thing you address.

As a new yorker I'd say new york. Tons of resources in new york city. Blockers are outrageously expensive. If you're sure you want to do it, have at it but they're over a thousand dollars a month if your insurance doesn't cover it. My insurance would not cover it when I was a teen, I forget what provider I had back then.
