Title: Suggestion: safety guides for binding?
Post by: Midnightstar on May 15, 2016, 02:10:35 PM
I was just looking for information on the internet and found a couple posts from Susan's where people are asking questions about binding the comments are just like "You'll be fine" and some of the things actually alarm me because binders can brake your ribs i had a friend who new someone who broke his rib cage because he wasn't wearing it for the proper time. I've also had minor problem due to brusing of my rib cage becaue i went agenst the safety guide. I wasn't in a very pleasent mood for a couple days and it didn't feel very good i'll tell you that. Sure maybe i'm senseitive, but it happened and trust me after getting my binder i didn't think it would. Now i'm much safer and don't wear it as often and follow the guides out there and everythings been fine. I'm not trying to strike fear into anyone, but i think its important to be addressing safety with binding. Sure it may not be common but it can happen and maybe i'm not seeing safety threads i haven't looked much
but i haven't found anything pinned up or staying there for people to look at, maybe i'm wrong but figured i'd suggest this. There are also a couple links on google you can find about binding safely i suggest taking a look into and seeing if maybe that would help you guys with some information. I just don't want to post any because i don't know what words and things people may be triggered by so i'm just trying to put this out there and get people more aware.
