"The ACLU of Tennessee has filed a federal complaint with the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights over a Sumner County Schools' policy prohibiting transgender students from using restrooms that correspond with their gender identity. The complaint, filed on behalf of a transgender high school freshman and her parents, states that the policy violates the requirements of federal anti-discrimination law and the United States Constitution."
